Dogs Greeting By Their Sense Of Smell
EmilyS sent in this great dog video from the dog park of a bunch of dogs hanging around an old timer trying to do his business. Once the old timer finishes up, the other pooches go in for a sniff. That got The Doggie Dish to thinking about how dogs greet with their noses and humans greet with their hands. Psychology Today had this to say about it:

Remember your favorite toy as a kid? Were you the only one on the block with it? Were you the envy of all the kids on the block? Cabbage Patch Kids, Transformers, Barbie, Beanie Babies, Pokemon and GI Joe with the Kung Fu Grip...Every generation has a favorite toy. It goes all the way back to the Slinky. Well, our pooch pals are no different.

This term that I’ve created is for the many dogs out there, in the world living among us humans that are true video dogs. Dogs that ham it up for camera. The one’s that you would swear know there is a camera on them when they run around chasing their tail. The ones that will roll over when they know there is an audience. A video dog also know how to get out of trouble when they do something wrong, like chew on a piece of furniture or pee in the house, eat a cookie from the cookie jar, poo in the pool, DOODOO! People search the WWW for these funny pictures and videos of dogs all the time, and when they find them, ahhhh, peace and serenity is achieved.
The Doggie Dish has a lot of people out and about trying to meet the cutest dogs all over this great country of ours just because we can’t get enough of the simple question why is your dog so wonderful? That simple question always leads to gushing dog owners and lovers eagerly explaining why their dog is the greatest of all-time. We love it because the end result is always a wonderfully engaging dog video that proves our pooches truly are man’s best friend!
