Tulsa World – OK state Rep. Lee Denney hopes to get a puppy mill bill through the Legislature this year. Denney’s efforts last year to regulate commercial pet breeders were thwarted mostly by rural legislators whose constituents complained it would work a hardship and bring unwarranted state interference.

Here’s a review from Rachel Lincoln of the LA Times… Joslyn is the jewel in the meager crown of Los Angeles’ leash-free parks. It’s large enough for an energetic game of chase-the-Chihuahua, there are shovels available for clean-up, the park benches are clean and people seem to enjoy passing the time here with their dogs.
