CBS reported that a 36 year-old woman Marie Aquilar was the woman allegedly filmed by a neighbor via a cellphone brutally beating her bulldog with a shovel.
The ASPCA received the complaint February 22nd and stepped in to examine the dog. The bulldog in question, Spike, is permanently maimed from the incident. Spike suffered a hip fracture and a broken leg, as well as some broken teeth, injuries to his ears and is unable to see out of his right eye.
The APSCA said that Spike will always walk with a limp and may never regain sight out of his eye.

News outlets are reporting that disgraced Philadelphia Eagle football player and convicted dogfighting kingpin Michael Vick is attending the 32nd annual Ed Block Courage Awards dinner to claim a “courage” award.
I don’t blame the players on the Eagles for rallying around the fallen idol and voting him as this season’s “courage” recipient. They are like minded young men rallying around one of their own. That would be similar to blaming the cameraman for shooting Vick’s ridiculous and ill-conceived reality show. I blame corporate oversight…or lack there of. So my question is this – where the hell is the NFL during all this insanity? Read More…
